Thinking Blogger Awards

You wouldn’t believe it, but I’ve been given a Thinking Blogger Award four separate times—by Elizabeth of Fluent; by Courtney of The Public, the Private and Everything in Between; by Mel of The Mel Mystique; and by Jade of Writing Under a Pseudonym. Crazy. Also, Charlotte at Charlotte’s Web listed me as a blogger who makes her inspired to write. Crazy, too! And—speaking of crazy—once you get a Thinking Blogger Award, you are then to award the blogs that make you think with their own Thinking Blogger Awards, and I’ve been remiss in doing so! Please forgive me. You could say I’ve been thinking long and hard about this. So, without further ado, here are five bloggers (excluding the thoughtful ones listed above, to whom I will throw Thinking Blogger Awards right back!) who make me think:

Alexander Chee of Fictioneer: Because he gets me thinking about my ten-year plan.

Helen Parocha of A Was Alarmed: Because she does not give up, and gets me thinking about how I should keep trying, too.

LK of The Literate Kitten: Because she gets me thinking about books—and a writer can never think enough about books—and because she, too, couldn’t live without Jane Eyre.

Niki Aguirre of The Virtual Onion: Because she’s fearless with her short story rewrites, and gets me thinking about how to survive the rewriting of my own.

W of Loud Solitude: Because of her infamous Shelf, which gets me thinking about all the books I want to read, and because of posts like this, which keep me inspired for days.

Thanks to each of you for making me think.

Thank you thinking of me Nova. :) I’m honoured. I am likewise inspired by you and your honesty about the despair and joys of writing. We will survive. We’ll keep writing, and we will kick rewrite butt. How’s that for a writerly motto?

    Congrats – four times over!

I guess under the circumstances it shouldn’t be surprising that that’s a very Thoughtful List! Congratulations, Nova, on your growing and well-deserved recognition.

Nova! Your sweet words have made my day. I hope you know how much you’ve inspired me to write, to keep on writing, and to keep on writing some more.

This was a nice surprise to find. Thanks. Here’s to your Ten-Year Plan.

Thank you so much, Nova!! I am very flattered. You inspire me to write too.

I have just had a week off, which was a bit scary, but I think having a break was a really good thing.
